2016 Hills vs Swords Fundraising Event

Dear members,

It's time again for our exciting Golden Gauntlet. The annual battle between Adelaide Swords Club and our own AHFC where great food, drinks , friends, and flashy sword play reign supreme.
It is our major fund-raiser we hold each year, so bringing extra friends or family is a significant help.
When: 12th November from 3pm
Where: AHFC Training gym

For $10 you get the entertainment of junior & senior teams fencing, novelty fencing events, and dinner. Its excellent value makes it easy to bring people along. As an added bonus, lots of the Adelaide fencing community attend, so it's a great way to socialise with people you might have only met at competitions.

As a licensed event, drinks from the bar will be available at modest extra cost. As usual there will be fine wines, and this year we feature beers from excellent local micro-brewery Little Bang Brewing Company.

A reminder that our junior foil team is open for those U13's in their first year of fencing. This is a fine chance for our junior foilists to experience a teams style tournament in a fun and friendly environment. Any interested parties are encouraged to speak with Foil coach Dov.

Last year a lot of members jumped on board to assist with this exciting event, and in turn we made quite a name for the club amongst the community (as well as a tidy profit). I hope that this year with your help we can make it even better!

Club members and parents in the past have supplied cakes for the dessert table, and have approached local businesses for donations to our super successful silent auction tables. If you are able to help in any way please speak to any of the club committee members present at training, or email the club.

Kind regards,

Mel Malig-Spranz
President, Adelaide Hills Fencing Club
