Tyrone Rugen Memorial Tournament

Hey folks!
The AHFC is putting on an astounding event for the senior epéeists of Adelaide.
It's called the Tyrone Rugen Memorial Senior Teams Epée League.
Quite a mouthful, we know, but nevertheless it should be a grand couple of nights with some good fun fencing.
Anyone who is eligible to fence in the FSA Open category will be allowed to compete, so start head-hunting around the club to make up your winning team!
Cost per team is $99 - this covers both nights.
Spectators get in for free!

The first night, 1st August (which is subtitled Inconceivable, after the novel approach to the teams relay structure we have adopted) will be a number of consecutive teams matches, depending on the number of teams who register.

Inconceivable team relays will follow this format:
Bouts 1, 2, & 3; 5 hit wins with a time limit of 3 minutes
Bouts 4, 5, & 6; 3 hit wins with a time limit of 2 minutes
Bouts 7, 8, & 9; 1 hit win, with a time limit of 1 minute.

The second night, 8th August (subtitled The 6th Finger, for obvious reasons), is a Knock-Out teams event, relying upon the seeding from the Inconceivable round robin.
These matches will be abbreviated (depending on number of entries) up until the final match which is a traditional 45 hit relay.

On both nights, a hearty meal will be available on-site for a modest fee.
Those wishing to carouse afterwards can retire to the Bridgewater Inn which is just around the corner.

Facebook events have been created for each night if that suits you:
